Using the browser
You are responsible for using Origami lawfully and complying with the applicable rules of websites and services you access, as well as the rights of others.
Your content and the web
You remain responsible for content you submit, download, save, or share, including information sent to an AI provider. You must have any rights and permissions needed for those activities. Origami does not claim ownership of your content.
Websites, feeds, and other third-party content remain the responsibility of their respective publishers. Reader and JSON formatting change how content is presented; they do not establish its accuracy or transfer rights in that content.
Source code, licenses, and branding
Origami’s covered source code is available in the Origami repository under the Mozilla Public License 2.0. The MPL-2.0 governs the rights and obligations applicable to that Covered Software. These terms do not replace or restrict rights granted by the applicable open-source licenses.
Bundled third-party components retain their own licenses and attribution requirements. See the Third-Party Notices.
Unless explicitly stated otherwise, the Origami name, app icon, logos, visual identity, screenshots, and other brand or marketing assets are not licensed under the MPL-2.0. Forks and redistributed versions should use their own branding and must not cause confusion about whether a build is official or endorsed by the project.
Only builds published or explicitly designated as official by the Origami project are official builds. Self-built and third-party redistributed binaries are unofficial, including builds made from unmodified source.
AI and external services
Optional AI features require your own API key from a supported provider. Your provider’s terms, privacy policies, and charges apply. Provider and model capabilities vary; access to a particular provider, model, or feature is not guaranteed.
AI-generated output can be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for evaluating it before relying on or sharing it.
Websites and services opened through Origami, and external links on this website, operate under their own terms and policies. A link does not imply endorsement by or of the third party.
Software availability
Origami and this website may change as features are added, removed, improved, or limited. They may become temporarily unavailable, and system requirements or release availability may change. Beta software may contain errors or behave unexpectedly.
Warranty
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Origami and this website are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. Applicable open-source license disclaimers remain in force. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or warranties that cannot legally be excluded.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Origami and its developer are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or lost-data damages arising from use of or inability to use the application or website. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot legally be limited, and does not override the terms of applicable open-source licenses.
Updates to these terms
These terms may be updated as the app or website changes. Updates will be reflected on this page with a revised date.
